He urged the United States to rectify its wrongdoing, create conditions for the normal trade and economic cooperation between companies from different countries and restore a free, open and safe cyberspace to the world.
The development of China and of the United States is not a zero-sum game, and the two countries should not reject each other but draw on each other's strength to achieve common development, Wang noted in an exclusive interview with Xinhua on Wednesday.
"I want to be very honest and frank with all of you, the real question for America is: Is the United States ready to live with another country with a different history, different culture, different system, but with no intention to compete for global dominance with the United States?" Cui asked. "Are you ready to live with us in peace? This is the fundamental question. Hopefully, politicians, diplomats, journalists, scholars here could think about this really seriously."
The politburo of the Arab Unification Party of Lebanon condemned what some countries have done to slander China and infringe upon China's legitimate rights. That's why we are working with the ASEAN countries over the years." Cui had worked for quite a few years with the ASEAN countries on drawing up the Declaration of Conduct for the parties concerned.
Since violent protests and riots rocked Hong Kong last year, the United States has stirred up troubles in the region, attempting to contain China with a raft of bills and executive orders targeting Hong Kong under the pretext of human rights, democracy and autonomy.
The U.S. side should face reality, be rational, put China-U.S. relations in perspective and handle the relations correctly. Or it will surely face consequences if it refuses to correct its course and insists on taking more wrong steps.
Calling Pompeo's rhetoric as "full of ideological bias and Cold War ideas," the embassy said Pompeo is attacking China without any substantiation.
I later learned that Xinhua has contended with the U.S. State Department because from a legal point of view, while the UN headquarters is located in the United States, Chinese nationals working at the UN office do not report American news and the United States is not entitled to deport us.
While the two countries are quite different in social system and many other aspects, such differences have not affected bilateral peaceful coexistence and cooperation, said Wang.
